Wicked Excited.

I am so incredibly excited.  I have just booked a “girls weekend” for E and I with some friends to take New York City by storm.   After a million years I am finally going to see Wicked on Broadway and I can’t wait!
Has anyone else taken their little girls to NYC for the weekend?  Any must see’s? (Besides the obvious…) We will be staying in Midtown.

if you choose to do a carriage ride, be forewarned that there are LOTS of picketers…making the carriage ride one from hell. The Central Park Zoo is very sweet and not overwhelming. We also opted over Top of the Rock vs. Empire State Building. You buy tix in advance and have a guaranteed spot on top of the world within 15 min of entry. If you go to the Plaza, don’t eat at Palm Court (expensive and not very good) – Opt for the downstairs eatery – Todd English’s amazing marketplace…something for every palette. M loved it. We also went to a sweet children’s bookstore/cupcakery – Books of Wonder.

I second Alice’s Tea Cup! Also Pop Bar for fancy popsicles, Magnolia Bakery (obvs), John’s Pizzeria, and Shake Shack. For shopping, try to go to the Young Designer’s Market in Soho. Lots of cool/inexpensive finds by up and coming designers! And hit up Henri Bendel and Bergdorf’s if you can! Enjoy Wicked! The kiddos can meet the actors and get autographs after the show if you wait for a while at the stage door 🙂

I’m going with my 19 year old daughter to see Wicked on Broadway in July. We are looking forward to shopping Canal St., 5th ave, and seeing museums and frozen hot chocolate at Serandipity.

Your stalker here, am taking my petite princess tomorrow am on the Acela express,we’re having tea at the Plaza (Eloise tea), seeing Mary Poppins on Broadway, going to the Carlyle Hotel to see the Madeline murals, central park carriage ride, etc. probably will skip the America. Girl Store and Dylan’s Candy Bar and Serendipity but have been recommended those as well. A friend was there a few weeks ago and she and her daughter waited outside 30 rock to get of the Today Show, her kid got a tickle out of that.
