For those of you that have been following #theneverendingporchproject on Instagram, this post is a long time coming. Almost a year ago, I started working with Jeff at Great Falls Landscapes on the concept.
We worked for weeks on the plan.. And finally came up with perfection.
There were a lot of changes along the way. And while it took what seems like forever to build, I couldn’t be happier with the end results. It’s funny, before finding GFL, I had initially hired someone else, and ultimately fired him two weeks in due to his lack of creativity. So glad that I found them! Jeff and Lance were amazing to work with and really “went” with my crazy ideas..
(This was right before E’s Party.. pics to come on that later..)
We also added a flagstone patio and fire pit, which has earned quite a few miles in s’mores prep!
Adirondak chairs and garden stools… HomeGoods. I spray painted all of the garden stools gold to give them a consistancy.
As you can see, mint and coral are the colors du jour inside the porch… It’s such a happy place!
Aren’t these macarons perfect?!? Love the colors.
This bar table was a refurb from our family beach condo reno. So glad I saved it.
I worked with Manoli Designs on the chandelier. Hannah is fantastic to work with. Heightened attention to detail… Which is perfect for yours truly.
I bought the two head chairs at HDC Home in Charleston. They were great to work with! Painted them mint and recovered the seats with white Sunbrella canvas.
I used a Malm table that doubles as a buffet. It’s great for outdoors!
Now for the other half of the porch… The sitting area!
Pillow sources here.
I had a painting party with the girls after school one afternoon. This piece was my creation. I love this painting… Reminds me of that day! (There are also a few little splatters of paint on one of the Ikea rugs just in case I need more reminding. 😉
The sofa is Ektorp. The coffee table (and basically everything on it) HomeGoods.
Remember these chairs?
And this HomeGoods side table?
Of course, you can never have too many pillows.
We couldn’t be happier with our new outdoor living space. We have officially spent more time in our backyard in the three short months since this project wrapped than the entire ten years we’ve lived here. I have a few small projects to finish out here. I can’t wait to share them!

Just love this color combination! Hope you don’t mind, but I am sharing on our fb page today, since the image of your room was one of our top “pins” yesterday. Great job utilizing the space “outside” to create more living area.

What brand/color is the mint paint? Love it!
Absurdly gorgeous and stunning!!! Amazing job!
Thanks Ladies- I hope this answers everyone’s questions…
Flowers- I sometimes use Wegmans, these were from Potomac Floral in Silver Spring.
Chandy- Have not cleaned it once.
Ikea Couch- Ditto. It’s the original ikea fabric.
The porch is fully covered and really, the only side facing the elements is the front opening (we have a half wall on one side and two open air windows on the other)
So far, we have left everything out. I imagine that some of the decorative items will come in for the winter. We built the benches on either side of the fireplace as storage benches, so most of the pillows go in there. I also purchased some all-weather covers to put over the Trina Turk Chairs for the winter.
This is gorgeous. And who would think I’d like the color mint? One question: How is everything holding up to the weather? Are all the pieces kept on the porch or do you bring them out for special occasions?
Simply beautiful and creative! The chandelier is gorgeous! Has it been easy to keep clean? Have you liked the Ikea couch for outdoors?
I am in love with your porch!! what beautiful colors! I love all of the colorful pillows and that beautiful painting 🙂

Wow! This is one of the most beautiful porches I have ever seen!! What a beautiful inspiration. Fantastic job!!
Just lovely! I know you mentioned in a past post that you do the arrangements yourself but would you mind sharing where you purchase your flowers from?
Also, where did you get the macarons — love the vibrant colors.
Congrats on the new space 🙂
