On the Burner….

I fell so deeply in love with this wallpaper when I first saw it in H & H….
and several years still love it.
I love it in foyers.
I love it in little girl’s bedrooms.
I loved it in Bailey McCarthy’s old kitchen.
Not to mention any of these kitchens..
Ok, I admit it, I am in love.  The problem is that the area I’d like to install it is our double story foyer.  That requires A LOT of wallpaper…  and this wallpaper don’t come cheap, people!  Can somebody let me know when they find that money tree I’ve been looking for?

Classics.

In a world of digital everything, sometimes it’s just good to read an old-fashioned book.  It doesn’t hurt if that particular book is going to pretty up your book shelf.
Dying over these.  Anthropologie has an exclusive line of Mr. Boddington’s Penguin Classics (while they last.)
 Alice   |   W H   |   S & S  |  Jane  |  L W  |  P & P
As well as a Kid’s Classic Book Set.  This one has E’s name written all over it.
Who could resist?  And I love that they now have classic books that they can pass along to their children.

Red Egg.

I am one of those people that scours Craigslist and Etsy for Bamboo chairs.  Generally, when I find the perfect chair, it is not in usable shape, or will cost so much money to be repaired, it is no longer a steal.  (Keeping my fingers crossed that these are as sturdy as the listing stated.)  Problem solved.  Let me introduce you to Red Egg.

They have a huge selection of Asian-Inspired pieces, all handcrafted in the Philippines.  Which one is your favorite?

Just a Little Snippery.

I bought this dress from Asos a few months ago.  Cute, right?
Not if you have boobs or an ounce of fat on your arms.  Since I bought it online, I did not want to send $20 returning it.  Instead, I spent $20 having it altered.  We turned the sleeves into a much more flattering cap sleeve and took in the waist just a bit.  I wore it to E’s first communion…. and was quite happy with the results!

Design Crush: Ana Cordeiro

For the past few years I have unknowingly been admiring/ lusting after/ pinning the designs of Portuguese designer Ana Cordeiro.
I am drawn to her use of bold colors and lines.
It seems she does a lot of commercial spaces.  I just love how she defies the rules of your typical office design.  Gone are the boring colors, prints and furniture.  Helloooo style.
Evidently, she likes stripes.  So do I.
Her residential designs ain’t to shabby either.
Check out her store here.
