bamboo chairs.

I have received a few requests about the bamboo chairs on our porch.  Here is what they looked like when I received them.  E actually thought that I chose this fabric.  Obviously, we need to have a lesson on 70’s decor.

Chairs

Here they are now in Trina Turk’s Trellis fabric.

HomeGoodsTable and PillowI bought them here.  They arrived and needed some serious TLC (the legs would actually fall off when you sat in them.)  Now they are sturdy, strong and GORGEOUS!

our porch.

For those of you that have been following #theneverendingporchproject on Instagram, this post is a long time coming.  Almost a year ago, I started working with Jeff at Great Falls Landscapes on the concept.

Porch Exterior Drawing

We worked for weeks on the plan.. And finally came up with perfection.

Porch DrawingThere were a lot of changes along the way. And while it took what seems like forever to build, I couldn’t be happier with the end results.  It’s funny, before finding GFL, I had initially hired someone else, and ultimately fired him two weeks in due to his lack of creativity.  So glad that I found them!  Jeff and Lance were amazing to work with and really “went” with my crazy ideas..

After a great week in Savannah, we came home to a finished porch and worked our asses off to pull (most) of it together in 4 hours… In just enough time to have dinner out there! IMG_1174

Each of the Pip Squeaks has claimed their own window seat.  IMG_1190

Which have plenty of room for pillow storage.

Remember these chairs I scored on Etsy?  Well, they are the perfect size.  They are not in the best shape (besides the fabric a la 1977) so I am hoping that they can be salvaged…

ugh.

Reality hit like a ton of bricks yesterday morning.  We spent a glorious week at the beach… I never wanted to come back. Those of you who follow me on Instagram saw the play by play.

Lea Michele’s Four Hour Makeover.

When Estee Stanley over at Domaine Home convinced friend Lea Michele to take part in a quick-change makeover, she was told “You know, this could be the end of our relationship, right?”  And with that said she was off.  In just four hours Lea came home to a completely edited space.  The results are phenom— laid back, California-rustic.  Just perfect.

I think they’ll be friends for a little bit longer. 😉
