It’s Britney, B*tch.

I have always been a big fan of Brit… even through the dark years.  What gives it away?… Is it the fact my iPod is filled with her #1 hits?  Or that I dressed up as Oops I Did It Again Britney in a red leather catsuit and a headset for Halloween ’00?  Maybe it was the time that I went as a Britney-Madonna duo with a friend in 2003? Perhaps that I was one of the first to buy tickets for myself and the Ya’s for her 2000 World Tour?   She may be one sandwich short of a picnic, but I’ll always be A Slave 4 this Louisiana girl.

Check out Britney’s spread it this month’s Harper’s Bazaar…  No more sub-par hair extensions, or eye-liner dripping down her face.  She’s back y’all.  And better than ever.

Forever 21 Girls.

It’s no secret that I am a fan of Forever 21.  Well, were you aware that they now carry both girls and maternity?  The online selection leaves a bit to be desired, but if you have a store nearby I strongly urge you to visit.  Check out these adorable dresses that I picked up for my girls for $9.99.  (Sorry, pics were taken with my iPhone.)  I love how they each rocked them in their own style.  E put this ensemble together all by herself.  She popped on this flower pin from Crew Cuts that I completely forgot she owned.  Her Daddy made her put a skort on under the dress, as we were going to a birthday party at My Gym.  Still… she made it work!  I love that she feels the need to constantly add accessories.. that apple didn’t fall from the tree!

Daddy’s happy that  she’ll be “covered.”

A Marriage Made In Heaven.

On Acid.

While I am not particularly a fan of the neon trend, one color I can stand behind is acid yellow.  
Years after SJP rocked this dress, I still can’t get it out of my head.
And how pretty and feminine does Rhianna look in this chiffon-rufffled dream?

April Showers.

April showers bring May flowers, so they say.   Here in DC the month of April starts out as cold and damp and before you know it flowers are blooming and May is upon us.  This is one of those weird months where it will be raining and cold on your way into work, and by lunch time the sun is out and it’s 20 degrees warmer.  There are plenty of ways to look stylish in this non-predictable weather.  The key is layers.  Here are two looks that I pulled together for April.  Of course, both start off with a stylish trench.
