O’verlays Giveaway.

Cheryle Rhuda and Danika Herrick were friends who saw a common an overlap in their interior design businesses; a lack on interesting materials to refurbish furniture.  The two have built an empire off of DIYer’s and their desire to champagne quality furniture on a beer budget.  Just look at some of these amazing furniture transformations that were created with O’verlays.

After this post about O’verlays, I had to try them for myself.  Here is the result:
Cheryle and Danika are graciously giving away six Anne O’verlays to one lucky Kiki’s List Follower so that you can get this look for yourself.  All you need is one Ikea Rast dresser and whatever paint colors meet your fancy.  The possibilities are endless!

More Anthropologie Ikat Bowl Lookalikes.

I have received so many emails about the green Ikat bowls on the shelf in our kitchen.  They are from Anthropologie, and I am sad to say, that they have been discontinued.  The good news is that I see more and more lookalikes popping up.

Like these from C. Wonder

Or these from Z. Gallerie.

This one from Jill Rosenwald is gorgeous, but a bit out of my price range.

World Market has a few.

There were a lot of affordable ikat bowls that are now out of stock, but keep your eye out because they may restock.  One of my favorites is this one from Nate Berkus for HSN.

Or these from Anthropologie.

I loved this one on One King’s Lane.  The point is, keep your eyes peeled… something will pop up!

Target: Hits the Spot.

I know, I know, Target is nothing new, but honestly I had fallen out of love with  the Tar-zhay that had always been a mecca for me.  Well, last week my love was rekindled.  Not only was it filled with a ton of gorgeous home goods and baubles, but I found so much design inspiration.  (Check out the colorway in these adorable gift bags!)
Knock off “lacquer” boxes.

Foo Dogs anyone?

Love this.

Gold chevron storage boxes.

Great baskets!

Loving these snakeskin boxes.

Some gold paint and these would be stunners!

Pretty.

This would make a great end table.

Beautiful color.

J’adore this serving tray.

Corals and navy…  the wheels in my head are going a mile a minute.

Lastly, I couldn’t resist two of these for my best girls.

4 Little Ghosts.

I LUST after these lucite stools from CB2.  I hunted them down after seeing them in this kitchen.
That being said, they were a little to big for my kitchen, and my budget.
We have a small galley between our kitchen island and our refrigerator.   But the girls love to cook with me and get tired of standing on step stools.
So, I found the perfect acrylic stools to fit my kitchen and my budget.  ($199.95 for two!)
To upholster or not to upholster, that is the question.
