I have never been much of a fan of JC Penney. It reminds me of when I was little and my mom would try to convince me that I really could do my back to school shopping there. But the bargain hunter in me loves a challenge, and I think I met this one head on. Don’t get me wrong, I had to sift through my fair share of pleather shoes, CZ jewels and more polyester than anyone should ever encounter. That being said, check out the adorable finds that made it onto Kiki’s List at even more adorable prices:

The Colors of Summer.
I just got my nails did on Friday, and so many people asked me what color I was wearing- I decided to write this post.

Wish they made that in my size.
I am amazed at the abundant selection of clothes out there for my little fashionistas. When I was a little girl there was Carters and Healthtex. That was it. Look at how adorable these outfits are. I may have a tiny case of fashion envy.

In the Bag…
Everyone always asks me why I carry such a big bag. Generally I respond “Go big or stay home.” but in all seriousness, as a working mother I have a lot of s@$# to carry! My husband goes crazy with the amount of designer handbags I own, but honestly, I have not bought a new one in almost two years. If you invest wisely and take care of them, they really do last a lifetime. I used to switch handbags daily, but with two kids I am lucky to remember a bag at all. The bag that I am currently carrying is the Michael Kors Santorini Bag, Circa 2006. I have used it every summer for the past four years. Besides a little bit of sand (it doubles as a beach bag), and a few minor stains on the inside, it’s as good as new!

Life’s Little Handbook.
This is my little handbook. I bought it for my husband as a stocking stuffer two years ago, and have gotten my $9.00 back tenfold. I read two pages each morning before I start my day. It’s filled with little reminders of how to live in a more simple, joyful manner. I also gave a copy of this to all of my co-workers for Christmas, and many have told me that it has affected them in many positive ways. I truly believe that if everyone picked up a copy… the world would be a better place.

Nailed it.
Nailheads are everywhere. They seem to be all the rage right now- and I couldn’t be happier. After searching the ends of the Earth for a bench to put at the foot of our bed, I found this little number here to match the detailing on our headboard. At $299 + $2.95 shipping you can’t beat the price tag!

Score!
After stumbling upon this pillow in last month’s Lonny, I became quite obsessed. Turns out it was a needlepoint print that was sold at Urban Outfitters last year. After contacting UO customer service, I found out that they have no plans to restock. Apparently this little sucker was was popular in the mid-seventies is now labeled as “vintage”… (Don’t even get me started….) In my typical obsessive-compulsive nature, I stalked and stalked until I found one. Amazingly enough one was being sold on Craig’s List right in my backyard for… wait for it….. $10… Score! Now I have one for my very own, the only thing I need to figure out now is 1.) How I am going to frame it and 2.) Where to put it.
