I just stumbled upon I SPY DIY and am obsessed. What a great place to find fun, creative and beautiful projects– that believe it or not are not too difficult. How easy, simple and totally awesome is this?!? One Material, Two DIY’s.
Love.

Tired of the same ole’ Jack-o-Lanterns? Work one of these no-carve pumpkin makeovers onto your front porch for a fresh look!
Puffy Paint Designs. Create a vase.
Donuts!Gilded Harvest. (Probably better for your dining room table, but I had to include this one!) 😉
We are about 80% done with the office. We’ve come a long, long way. Here is what the wall where the bookshelves currently reside looked like a few months ago.
The office was one of the first rooms that we painted when we moved in 12 years ago. The sofa (which I love) is about as old as I am. It’s a hand-me-down from my parents. As you can see, the old door really cut into the room- not making it very functional. So….
We took the door off the hinges and moved the sofa to the basement.
Then we started building the bookshelves.
The electrician wired for recessed lighting as well as four sconces over the bookcases.
I painted these sconces (similar here) with Krylon Brass spray paint
and these cabinet pulls with the same paint.
We replaced the swing door with this custom-made barn door that slides back and forth which provides us full access to the bookshelves.
We are installing 3 of these consoles for the base of the desk along the wall opposite from the bookcase.
I’ve also painted the hardware Krylon Gold.
This Tanzania wallpaper by Thibaut went up on the ceiling.
And I’ve been busy styling away.
Next up: a trifecta of installs- window treatments, countertops and a ginormous bulletin board.
I am HUGE fan of the pom pom. Here is an insanely adorable roundup of my favorite pom pom DIYs.
Father’s Day alert! This little company turns your Instagram photos into Magnets… Makes for a great gift!
Recently while perusing on Pinterest, I found myself pinning images of various Lilly Pultzer stores. So vibrant and creative. Oh, what ideas this gives me for a little girls’ room!
Last weekend we celebrated Anna Lou’s 6th birthday. When I asked where she wanted to have it, without hesitation she voted for Little Pincushion Studio. My girls adore Annabel and her classes. If we only lived closer, they’d be there everyday!
The girls had a blast! It was a beautiful day and and as usual, Annabel had some great crafts!
Cydney Allen of Afton Photography took such amazing pictures and was so much fun to work with!
We made these ombre cakes in jars. All of the accoutrements for the cakes are from The Bakers Confections.
It was the perfect day. We are so blessed!
