Bit by bit, we have been working on Lou’s big girl room since last spring. \u00a0And I am proud to finally show all of you the finished product.<\/div>\n

In between work, kids and blogging, we built the room, step by step. \u00a0It all started with a plan<\/a>.<\/div>\n

Unfortunately, the fabric for the curtains has been discontinued. \u00a0It is a P. Kaufman fabric. \u00a0The Pattern is Camelot and the color is Lake.<\/div>\n

We were able to repurpose the bed skirt from the crib to make the bed skirt and borders for the throw pillows. \u00a0The sconces were on sale at Restoration Hardware<\/a>.<\/div>\n

Corrine Marlowe <\/a>painted the stripes on the ceiling in the same Melon Shine<\/a> paint that I used on the bed.<\/div>\n

\u00a0I kept the\u00a0Little Castle<\/a>\u00a0glider from the nursery because I love it so much. \u00a0The store that I bought it from (that has since gone out of business) allowed me to customize it with my own fabrics. \u00a0The little chair was a gift that\u00a0Mom<\/a>\u00a0brought back from Rhode Island when she found out I was pregnant with E.<\/div>\n

\u00a0Luckily our changing table<\/a> was convertible. \u00a0The mirror was a originally a butterfly picture<\/a> that I scored on clearance at Home Goods. \u00a0I painted it Pear Green<\/a>.<\/div>\n

I knew exactly what I wanted <\/a>for the chandelier… the problem is that it didn’t exist.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n

<\/div>\n
Then I found Lindsey at Simply Salvage<\/a>, who worked tirelessly on this baby. \u00a0Poor Lindsey had no idea what she got herself into with me. \u00a0This took over 4,000 hand painted beads. \u00a0She painted them\u00a0Bird’s Egg<\/a>\u00a0to match the walls.<\/div>\n

My little Lou Lou Bug simply adores her room. \u00a0When it was finally done she stayed in there for hours. \u00a0While in another room, I heard her talking to herself saying “This is a dream come true!!! \u00a0I love my room. \u00a0I love my chandelier… I love my pink bed… I love my special lights (that would be the sconces.)…. \u00a0I love my flowers.. ” Yada, yada, yada. \u00a0It warmed my heart. \u00a0And that my friends, made it all worth it. \u00a0She has slept in her room every night since.<\/div>\n
